The installation for Butler SQL is very simple:
1) Double-click the Butler SQL 2.0 Installer icon.
2) Click Install; the installer will place all the required components in their proper location then restart your computer.
The Butler SQL server in this installer is a fat application, which means that it has been optimized for both 680x0 Macintosh and Power Macintosh computers. All documentation included with Butler SQL is in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer, an Acrobat Reader Installer is included with this package. Use the Custom Install options to install Adobe Acrobat.
If you are upgrading from a previous version of Butler SQL only the updated Butler 2.0 components will be installed. Your existing databases and settings will be retained. Also, the format of Butler 2.0 databases has not changed ≠†your databases will operate with Butler 2.0 without any update procedure required.
If you need assistance in the installation of Butler SQL, please consult the Butler Getting Started Guide, included with your Butler SQL 2.0 package.
Butler SQL Serialization
When you are prompted for the Butler SQL Serial #, please enter "Test Drive". This will enable you to create an unlimited number of databases with each database limited to 100 records.
